5th Remembrance Walk

The weather was perfect yesterday as a small group set off, at 8 am from our office in Lavant Street, on our 5th Remembrance Walk.

Thank you to those who donated in memory of their loved ones.

Claire, Louise, Jo, Paula and Maria from the clinical team, volunteer Pete C and supporters Molly and Terry walked 16 miles around Froxfield, Privett, East Meon and back into Petersfield.

Thank you to Claire who did an amazing job of planning and guiding the walk.

Special thanks to Pete F, who took photos and also followed the walkers around the route in his car, providing chilled water and somewhere to briefly rest tired legs.

Although the walk wasn’t without its challenges, wasp stings, electric shocks and a steep hill, it was nothing in comparison to the challenges faced daily by the patients and families supported by The Rosemary Foundation.

The Remembrance Walk evolved from a walk in 2018 when one of our nurses wanted to complete a challenge and fundraise for us. She walked from her home to our office, then in Langrish, a total distance of 21 miles.

The following 4 years saw walks take in some of the geographical areas our service covers.
