Well, it looks like we are finally moving back into Summer after that short burst of fine weather a couple of months ago, however our supporters are hedging their bets with a mix of indoor and outdoor events over the next couple of months.
All of these events are, as always, being organised or paid for by supporters at no cost to The Rosemary Foundation and any support in turn that you can give, in whatever way, will be greatly appreciated as it allows us to continue to do what we do.
There is also some exciting news about one of our founders.
The first of these events takes place this Saturday and features the ever-popular ‘the Gemini consort’.
The programme for the gemini consort summer concert on 29 June in St Peter’s Church is full of delightful music celebrating the natural world in all its beauty. There are pieces about rivers, flowers, trees, birds and even a cricket! These are all performed by the 12 accomplished musicians of the group. There are works by such well-loved composers as Vaughan Williams, Holst, Schubert and Gershwin.
There will be a retiring collection in favour of The Rosemary Foundation.
As a footer, this concert will be repeated on Saturday July 20th at St Michael’s Church, Chalton (near The Red Lion).
The following week, Saturday 6th July features The Rosemary Foundation nurses own ‘Annual Tea Party’ in East Meon Village Hall.
Now in its third year, and in recognition of The Rosemary Foundation serving the local community for 22 years and caring for over 2,650 patients and their families in that time, you are invited to the annual afternoon tea hosted by the Rosemary nurses.
Enjoy scones, jam and cream with a selection of cakes and endless tea or coffee.
It is a chance to meet some of the off duty nurses and support us to raise funds to enable us to continue supporting the local community.
£7 a ticket.

Also on that Saturday is the first of four open days at the Lavender Fields, Selborne.

The Annual Open Days for 2019 will be held on Saturday 6th, Sunday 7th, Saturday 13th andSunday 14th July from 11am – 4pm.
We politely ask that you refrain from bringing dogs to this event.
A great day out for all the family! No need to book! Just come

Once again, and for which we are massively grateful to the Butler family, The Rosemary Foundation has been chosen as one of the supported charities to receive a share of the proceeds from both weekends.
Looking slightly further ahead, we have just heard that our good friends at the Petersfield Social Club are holding one of their popular Quiz / Curry Nights in August.
This is sure to be a sell-out so if you like quizzes it may be worth booking your table sooner rather than later – and of course the curry supplied by Malabon Tandoori Restaurant will be an added bonus.
Having looked forward, it is also appropriate to look back at the South Downs Yomp in May.
There were two Yompers raising funds for The Rosemary Foundation – Allan McManus and the Reverend Jane Ball – who between them will have raised over £5,000 by the time all their blisters have healed!
It was great to be able to support the Yompers by marshalling and here are a couple of photographs taken at the start (5.30 AM) and one of the ‘re-fuelling’ points along the way.
A big thank you to Allan and Jane, and also to the nurses and volunteers who helped with the marshalling – which we expect to do again next year.
