Last month we prefaced the ‘What’s On’ for November and December with a preview of our Christmas Fayre, which we shall look back at later in this Christmas ‘special.
In the meantime we can look forward to our last two events of 2018 – the gemini consort on the 8th and The Magic of Christmas concert on the 15th

This concert of Christmas music contains a wealth of beautiful works. The first half is an amalgam of the Magnificats by Bach and Vivaldi, interspersed with Bach solos for flute and piccolo trumpet. The latter will be played by Luch Humphris, who was invited to give a recital in America in July. It was greeted
with rapturous applause.
The second half of the concert is devoted to a wide variety of joyous and contemplative carols by, among others, Vaughan Williams, Tavener, Warlock and Chilcott. There are also solo pieces for recorder and clarinet.
Admission to the concert is free with a retiring collection in aid of The Rosemary Foundation.

A look back to the Christmas Fayre and a big ‘THANK YOU’ to all the volunteers, nurses, stall holders, attendees, visiting auctioneers and EHDC dignitaries, Petersfield Ukulele Band, Solent Metal Detecting Club, The Petersfield School (and amazingly helpful Site Manager Mr Tony Brettell) and everyone else who came along and helped give us the best possible start in our new venue.
We had over 300 attendees and there was quite a crowd waiting when Jonathan Pratt (of ‘’Flog It” fame) opened the Fayre, and they were royally entertained by the Petersfield Ukulele Band who played three full sets during the morning.
Our great supporters The Solent Metal Detecting Club (http://solentmdc.com/) joined us once again and presented us with a donation of £1,750 raised from money donated to them by grateful people who had used their Free Recovery Service. The cheque was received on behalf of The Rosemary Foundation by Councillor Anthony Williams, Chairman of East Hampshire District Council, and Jonathan Pratt.
Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves, the tea-room was always busy and whilst there are undoubtedly little bits we can do differently next time, we thought it was a great success.

FAREWELL TO LANGRISH AND HELLO (AGAIN) TO 35 LAVANT STREET
As 2018 draws to a close The Rosemary Foundation is about to embark on a new, and exciting, voyage as the office relocates from the beautiful village of Langrish (and our wonderful supporters the Talbot-Ponsonbys of Langrish House and Stuart Barden of Barden FM) and return to our first ‘offices’ at 35 Lavant Street in Petersfield (still in their old ‘livery’ in this photograph).
After 10 years away, during which time the building remained our correspondence address until it fell vacant in September, we are moving back in to the ground and first floors over the Christmas and New Year period – with a view to being fully open on Monday 14 January 2019. This is of course only the office, our nurses will continue to do what they do best, which is caring for their patients and their families, all through the period on our normal 24/7 basis.
We will miss Langrish, its glorious countryside and the wonderful friends we have made, and we hope many of you, and new ‘friends’ as well, will drop in to see us in Lavant Street and hear about our plans for the future, including wider use of the building.
In the meantime, if any readers feel they might like to burn off some excess calories, or get some extra fresh air for a few hours, maybe more, during early January I am sure we would welcome extra help in moving the office contents!
