General Manager Vacancy

The Rosemary Foundation – Hospice at Home is recruiting a General Manager.

Are you a compassionate, confident leader who wants to make a real difference in people’s lives? The Rosemary Foundation is looking for an exceptional General Manager to guide our much‑loved Hospice at Home service and help shape the future of our charity.

For almost 30 years, our nurse‑led team has supported local families with dignified, personalised end‑of‑life care at home. As our General Manager, you’ll be at the heart of this mission — leading our service, supporting our staff, and ensuring every patient receives the safe, responsive, person‑centred care they deserve.

This is a role with real breadth. You will oversee daily operations, champion our values, and lead a dedicated Senior Leadership Team. You will hold legal accountability as our CQC Registered Manager, ensuring we meet every regulatory requirement with confidence and clarity. You will work closely with our Clinical Manager to maintain high‑quality palliative and bereavement care, act as our Designated Safeguarding Lead and embed a culture of learning, safety and continuous improvement.

You will also play a key part in the long‑term sustainability of the charity — managing budgets, supporting strategy, overseeing IT & Communications (including supplier management and HSCN compliance), and ensuring our governance, data protection and quality systems are future‑ready.

Most importantly, you will be a visible, trusted presence for patients, families, volunteers, partner agencies, and commissioners. You will represent The Rosemary Foundation with professionalism, warmth, and a genuine commitment to our ethos.

Who We’re Looking For

You will bring proven leadership experience, strong operational and financial skills, and a solid understanding of CQC‑regulated care. You will be confident making decisions, calm under pressure, and able to balance regulatory rigour with empathy and compassion. Experience in the voluntary sector or as a General Manager is a bonus, but not essential.

If you are an innovative thinker, a supportive leader, and someone who believes in the power of dignified end‑of‑life care, we’d love to hear from you.
