The Rosemary Foundation Golf Team

Golden Golfers are a tough breed!

A rare fundraising event took place on Wednesday, 30th September when a dedicated band of golfers aged between 80 and 94 played in The Golden Golfers Challenge at Petersfield Golf Club to raise funds for The Rosemary Foundation. The weather was windy and wet which was not a problem to the golfers who are generally a tough breed! The overall winner was Vee Green of Liphook Golf Club, aged 94. Harry Butler aged 88 took the prize for the longest drive in the men’s category and Jane Jones the longest drive, ladies. Nearest to the pin was Pam Carter, aged 80. The event was the idea of inspirational Petersfield resident Ann Donnelly, aged 91 who was superbly assisted by her son Iain and supported by Andy Corbett of Petersfield Gold Club. Our very grateful thanks to Ann, Iain, Andy and all the Golden Golfers for a really enjoyable event and the funds it raised.
